Chocolate caramel pancakes

Chocolate caramel pancakes is the only way to do the weekend right! Finally the brunch spots has started to open up again and even though you get to make the perfect pancakes at home with this recipe, i can’ wait to get out! Pancakes has been part of our confinement routine and i’d like to keep this routine going, because life without pancakes certainly seems pretty dull!

Almond praline chocolate eggs

Almond praline chocolate eggs are just what I’d like for breakfast every day, just kidding. These though take a bit of effort to make but they are soooo worth it. They are 100% vegan tempered chocolate eggs, made with the best fait maison ingredients you can think off.

Chocolate marble banana bread

Chocolate marble banana bread is just another love declaration to my all time favorite baked bread ever. I have made so many variations and every time that one is my favorite, but I have to say banana and chocolate go so well together. And most people would say chocolate goes well with most deserty things, but banana is the perfect dance partner!  This bread is especially yum because within every bite you get a melty bit of chocolate, who can say no to that?

Chocolate orange babka

Chocolate orange babka is such a beautiful bread recipe. It has all the flavors of winter in each bite. The chocolate walnut and orange flavors are just absolutely wonderful together if you are a citrus lover or not. I never really loved orange in sweet baked desserts or bread, but since making this winter melody, I am completely smitten!

Chai pumpkin churros

Chai pumpkin churros are essential when the festive season is here. I know churros more as “dough fills” from my childhood. They are a whole other post by themselves and I’m sure going to get up all nostalgic about them, but for now churros, my friends. Not only do these totally vegan churros taste super delish, coated in sugar and dipped in chocolate, but these churros have two special ingredients. Homemade chai spice and sweet mashed pumpkin. Yes, these are super special churros for a super special time of the year!

Ginger chocolate oat cookies

Ginger chocolate oat cookies, I have been trying to find a name for the subtle spiced cookies. They are a mix between chocolate chip and festive ginger cookies, a phoenix you might call them. They are delightfully light, chewy and sweet. Christmas cookies are stressing me out for real, making beautiful cookies takes a lot of patience and loads of percision that is for sure! I have made two batches and the cookies came out all right, but the frosting is nothing to write home about! That’s where the true artist comes out…

Chocolate speculoos banana bread

Chocolate speculoos banana bread might be my new addiction, like all my other banana obsessions, this one is right at the top of the list. All things baking are running through my head, and with only so much space to eat everything, banana bread is one of my preferred baked goodies. What makes this loaf so special is the fact that it’s loaded with festive vibes all the way. With Christmas only a couple weeks away, I can’t help but feel weird about the whole thing. Maybe when kids are involved, you realize finally that time does indeed fly and soon our little munchkin will be two years old. It feels just like yesterday that he was born.

Chocolate caramel tart

Chocolate caramel tart makes me think of the festive season that is ahead. I know a warmly baked pudding is something I would choose in this cold any day, but a sweet delectable chocolate caramel tart cannot be denied. It’s made with a chocolate buckwheat base, slightly bitter caramel filling, topped with a dark chocolate ganache topping.

I have been seeing some tarts on social media quite a bit and I have been craving this tart that I made a couple years ago. This tart is perfect for the mid-week slump and even my husband that is a fast food lover by choice said it was tasty. So I guess this tart qualifies as a cheat meal for the connoisseurs out there.

Visiting Magical Brugge

Visiting magical Brugge was certainly a beautiful traveling destination. This enchanting little town brings all the warming things into one. Good food, coffee, chocolates and an awing view to boot. November was a great time to visit since it was not that cold or too busy just yet. Traveling with a baby certainly made things more challenging, but so worth it still. All things considered, it was very, Lekker indeed!
