Almond butter cookies

Almond butter cookies are the ultimate toddler snack. I made a quick batch of healthy cookies, just because I was so over buying bio cookies and not knowing whether they are actually any good. I like to know the kinds of foods my son is eating most of the time, even though he is always putting some kind of something in his mouth these days. I swear he has eaten so many leaves, play dough and old food from the ground. At least I know these cookies are nothing but good stuff!

Gluten-free cornbread

Gluten-free cornbread is the perfect salad side dish around. We are such corn lovers in our household and would eat a couple of corn on the cobs per week. Especially my son, he just loves corn so much! I wanted to make a healthier, vegan and gluten-free version and the first go was a pretty good success. You can sub the gluten-free flour for normal whole wheat or white pastry flour for a more light effect.

Soft ginger cookies

Soft ginger cookies are just heaven in every bite. I mean, who doesn't love ginger cookies am I right. I could eat them like any time of year, not necessarily just over Christmas. They go super well with peaches and that's why I made peach nice cream and topped them up with ginger cookie crumble and it was super delish!

Avocado sweet pea hummus

Avocado sweet pea hummus is just such a beautiful side dish to those fresh spring days and evenings. I love hummus and have been making a batch every week, depending on the mood I am in, depends what flavors I like to add. Some of my favorite ones have been soy honey, tangy sweet turmeric, roasted carrot and sundried tomato hummus.

Banana bread donuts

Banana bread donuts are the equivalent to my match made in heaven. It's a gooey, moist donut with a peanut butter, strawberry maple glaze and it's seriously too addicting. I have been trying to up my donut game since my last vegan donuts was an epic fail and I was over baking them after my son's birthday.

Almond butter popcorn cups

Almond butter popcorn cups are just heavenly. Things get super serious when chocolate and popcorn is involved...Oh and almond butter. All three of these are my favorite and I just simply can't resist. I used to munch buckets of popcorn during pregnancy and after because I was just so hungry. The munchies are so tough when your preggo or breastfeeding.

Une journée d'amour

Une journée d'amour is just another way of celebrating love...It may be man-made-up day and you might not believe in it, but it does remind us to appreciate the ones that we love. Everyone can have a reminder of that, I would say! This is also actually my due date...So fingers crossed that the gift of love will be showered upon us today, either way you've gotta feel the love!
Ricotta Peanut Butter Banana bread

Ricotta Peanut Butter Banana bread

Ricotta Peanut butter banana bread has been a lifesaver this past week. I absolutely love banana bread warm out of the oven with a hot cup of tea as an added bonus. This version of banana bread is a mixture of a healthier alternative for you to try out at home. The ricotta adds to the mushy, moist texture whilst served with a generous scoop of almond butter- you'll be so grateful for every slice!
