This recipe is an all-time favorite of mine. It is well known for when I was little living in the hostel. It is a combination of sweet and savory combined and it seriously tingles you taste buds!

  • 1/4 cup marmite
  • 60 ml butter
  • pinch of salt
  • 10 ml baking powder
  • 500ml flour
  • 200g butter
  • 500ml cheddar cheese
  • 250ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup corn

  1. Heat up your oven to 180°C.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients together.
  3. Melt the butter and add the two whisked eggs and milk.
  4. Pour into the dry mixture, add half of the cheddar cheese and corn and mix well till a dough forms.
  5. You don’t really need a cake pop baking tray, you can roll them into balls, but it helps to keep them in ball shapes.
  6. Let them bake or 10 minutes and remove and then smear on the Marmite ( about 1/2 tsp each) and add the last bit of cheese and bake for other 2-5 minutes till melted.

Savory and Sweet rarely tastes this good, you have to give this recipe a try!
