Chicness like Bébé Chic

Chicness like baby chic is my collaboration with the quinte boutique here in our village that has the cutest and durable products to fit any mothers demands. Seeing to your babies needs is a top priority once you become a mother. How do you choose the best products that will last and keep you and your baby satisfied? I chose products that I would normally use in an everyday routine with the little man and keep things routinely is key for me. Come and read and see more!

I am a mom of an almost eight months old baby. I never really expected time to fly so immensely and now I look at him and in a wink of an eye he has grown up so fast. I look at his baby photos when he was little and I can’t believe how small and quiet he was. He is certainly not the same today. He has started to pull himself up against everything and after a few tumbles and falls he has mastered the art of standing and sitting down. Well, mostly, Sheesh! BBC(2)

I guess him growing up has taught me to get my things in order as well. You are soooo selfish before you have a baby and you don’t realize it just until you have a baby of your own. The early twenties are all about me, me and wait, me. When there is a baby then there will be none of that, well for a couple of years or so.  So every need, every criticism, every piece of advice you kinda take to heart instead of prioritizing what you think is best. But wait for it, you kinda don’t know what is best yet and therefore your first child is kind of the “safety test” for the rest to follow.  That’s why I hear so many women say that baby nr 2 is a breeze in terms of they know what to do. Juggling a new baby and another kid is another story to tell. (Once I do get there)

So like many other mothers, I want to dress my almost eight months old cute, but he doesn’t fit in all the brands that I have bought for him over a couple of months. Oh and don’t forget he is crawling, so how do you dress a hyper crawling eight-month-old? There are a few boxes stacked in his closet of clothes he hasn’t worn just because he was just so big from the get-go. Just because maybe South Africans have super abnormal big babies of maybe the French just have super small babies. Think the second assumption is correct. So finding the right “brands” and also guessing the right size has been a bit tricky.

I strolled through Castres and found this super cute boutique that sells baby clothes, toys, and other decorative things. The owner, Emilie makes a lot of the decorative items, teething rings, and dummy clips herself.  Of course, I want my baby to look cute! She made a personalized dummy clip for our son, which is so adorable!

Done by dear stroller wrap toy: 34.95 Euros

I dressed him in one of her baby grows from Absorba, that fit him real snug and the cutest leather shoes with little lion cubs on them. He had a bit of a play, ate lunch and went for a stroll before it was bedtime again. The routine is super important to me and just gives me the time to download at night and function normally during the day. But no baby is the same and the routine can vary, that I assure you. I have stopped trying to figure it all out. You just have to make it work, relax and enjoy! You can do routine and still look Chic whilst doing it!

I just want to thank Romane Paulin for the photos. You are such a good friend to me and you teach me a lot of French. Special thanks to Emilie from baby chic for the collaboration for my blog. Go and have a look of Bebe Chic Castres facebook page to order some of these products and also go and have a look on Romane Paulin’s website for a very good photographer and videographer.
